Fused Materials PA12 3D Printer Filament
PA12, also known as Nylon 12, is the 3D filament for new projects due to it’s vast applications and versatility. Fused Materials PA12 has a high toughness, tensile strength, impact strength and the ability to flex without fracture.
It is extremely solid even at very low temperatures. Fused Materials’ PA12 is exceptionally strong even in temperatures below freezing. It is characterized by high strength, stiffness, strong resistance to cracking under stress, and an excellent long-term constant behavior.
PA12’s popularity has been growing, being used for functional parts and prototypes. In comparison to other filaments, it absorbs little moisture and is also very easy to process after printing (paint, dye, etc.). Since PA12 has a lower concentration of amides than any other commercially available polyamide, it absorbs very little moisture and has an excellent resistance to chemicals including hydraulic fluids, oil, fuels, grease, salt water, and solvents. dampens noise and vibration, and is highly processable.
Know Your Filament
Polyamide 12 (PA12), or Nylon 12, filament is a synthetic whitish fine powder derived mainly from petroleum sources. It is the most tested material for additive manufacturing on the market. Parts made from nylon are robust, stable for long periods of time, chemically resistant and extremely versatile.
